Michael Bui, BA, BEdMichael Bui is a Secondary Social Studies and Business Education teacher in the Vancouver School Board. Presently, he teaches many of his students through a blended learning environment. Prior to the VSB, he taught for several years in the Coquitlam School District. His past experience includes working in the finance and insurance industry for 6 years where he continues to bring in lived experience to help his students apply business concepts. Passionate about enhancing blended environments and e-learning, he is presently pursuing his Masters in Educational Technology at UBC.

Yuandi DuYuandi Du is an active learner, an envisioned planner, and a dog lover. Living with two beautiful golden retrievers in Vancouver, Yuandi enjoys the relaxing life while pursuing her MET degree. She wishes to build a business learning platform to help Chinese small business owners with their business thinking one day.
Yuandi has a strong interest in fields such as business management, finance, and economics. In her spare time, she likes to go on road trips or camping with her friends and family. |
Chris Quarrie, BSc., BEdChris Quarrie (M. Ed., OISE University of Toronto) teaches secondary school science and IT at an indenpedent school in Vancouver, BC. For three years, he developed an online ICT course for Grade 8's at the school.
He spent 15 years traveling and working overseas, in places like Yokohama, London (UK), Wellington (NZ), and Kuala Lumpur. He has been recording his learning in the Masters of Educational Technology program at the University of British Columbia in an e-Portfolio. He is an avid photographer, and has a (sadly, neglected) photo blog. |
Rob Theriault, BHSc., RCT(Adv.), CCP(F)Rob Theriault is a paramedic educator at Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario. He also works as an Advanced Care Paramedic on weekends. Rob received a Bachelor of Health Sciences (BHSc) Degree in Paramedicine from Victoria in University in Melbourne, Australia and is currently working on a Master of Educational Technology Degree at the University of British Columbia.
Rob is passionate about educational technology and uses a variety of tech in the classroom such as iTunes U, screencasting, Coache's Eye, high fidelity patient simulation, apps in case based learning and more. |
Mark Viola, BA, BEdCurrently Mark teaches visual arts at an all-boys private school in Toronto. In addition, Mark serves as the Educational Technology Integration Leader for his school. In this role he has successfully launched a 1:1 iPad program for over 250 grade 7 and 8 students and has developed plans for a BYOD program for the upper school.
Over the past 14 years as an educator with a passion for Ed. Tech integration, Mark has delivered numerous Professional Development sessions to staff, met with Ed. Tech companies to discuss new learning technologies, and worked with administration from various other schools to develop ICT plans. |
